Danke für den Hinweis. Ich habe mir die Sendung auch angesehen. Es ging insbesondere um den Wirkstoff , in Deutschland eher bekannt unter dem Medikamenten-Handelsnamen Antabus. Das Medikament soll Alkoholkonsum vergällen, d.h. es kommt zu übelsten Nebenwirkungen, wenn nebst der Einnahme des Medikaments Alkohol konsumiert wird. Ein Ansatz, der sich nicht besonders bewährt hat, entgegen den .

Im Nachgang gab es auch noch ein , Psychiater, Asklepios Klinik Nord, Hamburg. Auch er stellte Disulfiram (Antabus) als sehr erfolgreiches Medikament gegen Alkoholsucht dar. Mittlerweile ist die Zulassung für das Medikament in Deutschland erloschen, die Herstellerfirma nennt „technische Probleme“ als Grund für die nicht erneuerte Beantragung. Böse Zungen führen Erfolglosigkeit und Unwirtschaftlichkeit ins Feld. Am Ende des Interviews wurde auch Baclofen kurz angesprochen. Dr. Klaus Behrendt hat Baclofen, wenn auch etwas halbherzig, als mögliche Alternative anerkannt.
